Student travel and accommodation support
Support for students who wish to attend MetMeSS 2026 at IIT Kharagpur. One short form, one PDF.
For students
What is on offer
- Travel: round-trip train fare, up to 3rd or 2nd AC, by reimbursement, for selected students.
- Accommodation: provided for selected students during the symposium.
Applications are open. A limited number of grants are available, so apply as early as you can. Applying does not guarantee support. We will write to you with the decision.
Who can apply
- Undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and PhD students.
- In special cases others can be considered too. Choose “Other” under Programme and explain in the short note.
Abstract and registration
- An abstract is not mandatory for this application, but we encourage you to submit one on any of the symposium themes.
- Please register as soon as possible, at the student rate, through the IIT Kharagpur CEP portal. Registration is separate from this application.
- Registration and abstract submission both close on 15 October 2026.
Document to submit
- One PDF containing your student ID card and a letter from your supervisor or Head of the Department, in that order.
Applicants selected for the pre-conference school on 25 October are supported through that application.
